NEW Trails are OPEN / Class IV Roads are OPEN
Welcome to the New Durham Valley ATV Club Website
Meetings are held the
fourth Tuesday of the month at the New Durham Public Library @
7pm. Take Route 11 (North or South) to the blinking light, and
take the road across from Johnson's Restaurant. At the stop
sign, the library will be the brown building directly in front
of you. All members are encouraged to attend.
** The Next Meeting is MAY 28, 2013
**
The NEW RIDING AREA is open for use. Parking is off of Rines Road BEFORE the green gate and bridge that lead to the old Rines Road Parking Lot. From the Alton Circle, take Route 28 north for approximately 8 miles, then turn right onto Rines Road. Follow Rines Road for approximately 2 miles; trailhead is on the left. Google Maps
The majority landowner has closed all of the prior trails in Alton as of August 30, 2012. The only permissible riding in that area at this time are the class VI roads. This means you CAN ride from the Rines Road Trailhead straight out to Kings Highway, and also on the main trail out to Merrymeeting Road. All other trails including the mountains are CLOSED to ATV's at this time. Please respect the landowner's request.
The NEW riding area
in Alton is a work in progress. Input and assistance from club
members is encouraged AND necessary to be successful. Please
monitor the MEMBERS ONLY FORUM linked to the right
for any details and work party information. In general, you
may ride where you like on this property - so while you are
exploring, please post up YOUR ideas for loops, etc... on the club
forum!
